Congratulations to St Ninian's Cathedral, Perth for gaining an Eco-Congregation Award
St Ninian's Cathedral have involved all ages in the congregation in caring for God’s creation and demonstrate this through practical actions such as:
Improving the energy efficiency in their buildings including upgrading of the heating, lighting system and draught proofing.
Minimising waste with comprehensive recycling facilities on offer to the congregation and other users of the building, as well as reusing pews and doors in the refurbishment of the cathedral.
Clearly and simply explaining environmental issues through the use of the notice board, leaflets and the newsletter.
A strong commitment to Fair Trade in running and maintaining a weekly stall, which is also available to other groups.
