Congratulations to Old and Abbey Church, Arbroath for achieving an Eco-Congregation Award

Old and Abbey Church has shown a real commitment to caring for God's creation and different aspects of the work have been taken forward by a number of groups in the congregation:

  • Creation themes are woven into worship showing that faith and belief is driving the work forward.
  • Excellent leadership has enabled the Eco-Congregation ethos to be shared across the congregation.
  • With a great deal of effort by a large number of volunteers, the congregation organised a Global Warming Weekend. This included a wide variety of talks and acitivities with something for everyone in the whole community.
  • The congregation are also regular partners in the local beach clean.
