Congratulations to St Columba Church, Helensburgh for gaining an Eco-Congregation Award
The Green Team at St Columba has strong leadership and plenty of enthusiasm. The Team also has an excellent mix of people with different interests and knowledge, representing different interests within the church.
They have held a number of very successful community events such as the Fairtrade Fashion show and stall and the Beach Clean, all of which help to raise awareness of the issues.
With a complex building, due to age and design, they face practical challenges in managing it in an environmentally friendly way but are willing to take on the challenges and tackle them in a positive way.
