These Episcopal churches have taken the programme into many areas of their work and this is particularly impressive given the small size of the congregations. Support for sustainability issues has clearly become part of the culture of each church. The churches’ support for Castlemilk Refugee Centre was an excellent example of practical recycling of clothing, household goods, furniture etc, while tackling broader social needs beyond the churches’ walls. The wildlife garden and involvement of local children in planting seeds is using the church’s grounds to encourage biodiversity.
