Murrayfield
With an enthusiastic and dedicated ECo-Group Murrayfield Parish church has achieved a huge amount.
They integrate environmental concerns into their prayers and worship and have involved their young people in activities and services.
They are careful about their energy use and have individual thermostats on the radiators, blinds and shutters on the windows, low energy light bulbs and switch off notices on the light switches. They both recycle and use recycled goods and are a Fairtrade Church, even providing fair trade tea and coffee for hall users.
The church employs a development education advisor and has strong links with a church and community in Ghana , where, among they other things they have provided solar lighting. They have also encouraged the local primary school to link up with Kwamibirom.
